Treasurer’s Report:

Subscriptions have not been paid by several clubs. Invoices had been sent to “all clubs” but some clubs did not receive the invoice. Invoices have since been sent to Claire from Wanganui East and Claire from Silverstream. Pat also requested an invoice.

Brian noted entry fees to tournaments had risen. Graeme will send a substantial invoice for Chanticleer expenses, all itemised.

No subscription or contact had been made from Hataitai. Kevin will talk to them. Acceptance of Treasurer’s report moved by Kevin, seconded by Claire (B), carried.

WPA tournaments / Events:

Claire (W) queried did all clubs receive an invitation to host WPA events? Otaki are to host 6 events out of 13 total, which does not seem fair. Claire (B) said no invitation had been sent to clubs. The allocation and timing of events was partly determined by the number of pistes each club had available and the timing of PNZ events. The upcoming Champion of Champions doubles could be reallocated from Otaki. If any other clubs are interested please contact Claire (B) by next Friday (29 Aug). Otaki will not bid for the event if reallocated. Next year all clubs will be invited to tender for events.

Claire (W) noted discrepancies/anomalies in the PNZ website.

Umpiring:

Clive was not present as he had another appointment. His report had been distributed. Lin Jackson has been allocated the mixed doubles, and Dave Gwerder and Paul Bonsey the champion of Champions. Looking for the WPA singles. Clive may be available for one or two days of the doubles. Acceptance of umpire’s report moved Kevin, seconded Bruce, carried Graeme may also be available for the doubles.

Website:

The website is progressing well. Claire (B) asked if anyone had consulted their members for expertise in writing websites, as requested at the April meeting. No-one had.
