The defending champions and top seeds from Saturday, Maurice Belz, Jared Handford and Dirk Winnie were upset in the semi-final by Morgan Choveaux, Michael Rocks and Nico Toyne. In the other semi-final, second seeds Ian Baker, Andre Noel and Georgio Vakauta beat Pete Hamilton, Joan Miller and Claire Wilson.

The final was won by Baker-Noel-Vakauta 13-5, who become the first team to win two Wanganui East Open titles.

New Zealand wrapped up the 2010 Trans-Tasman matches with two rounds to spare in the annual match against Australia. In the Open section New Zealand won by 81-27. In the Senior section, New Zealand won by 72-36. New Zealand has won the last three consecutive matches.
