Pétanque Resources
Books
For such a popular sport, there is surprisingly very little in the way of books on pétanque. In English, there are even less.
Known English language books
- Gavin Campbell (NZ) wrote Pétanque in New Zealand: More than just ball game in 1995 (reprinted in 2001). Copies are available from The Limit (www.thelimit.co.nz).
- Egon Pozniak (Australia) wrote Pétanque: Boules Down Under in 2005. Graeme Morris may still have some copies available. If not, try an internet search for a reseller or you may contact the author directly at empozniak (at) iprimus.com.au.
- Garth Freeman (UK) wrote Pétanque: French Game of Boules. Now out of print, you will need to look for a second-hand copy.
- Byron Putnum (UA) wrote Pétanque: The Greatest Game You have Never Heard Of! in 2011. The book can be ordered online from the Pétanque America website.
