The Auckland team to play against Wellington for the Chanticleer Cup has been posted on the APA website

Senior

Paul Bickleman, Charles Brock, Alain Coulomb, Margaret Maher, Ray Pierce, Frank Pinder. Reserves: Myrine Gilbert, Eileen Lippard.

The match will played at the Herne Bay terrain, 22 & 23 August.

Wanganui East Fundraising Melee

7 August 2010

Fifty-six players took part in the fundraising melee in support of the Pieman, Pete Hamilton, who lost his business in a recent fire. Donations were received from throughout the country (Alexandra to Auckland, and many places in between). Even the weather played its part as the rain stayed away until after the games were completed.

Chanticleer Cup

Day One saw Auckland with their noses in front as they took a narrow two point lead into Sunday. On Day Two, Wellington's Triples combinations clicked as they won ten games to six to wrest the Cup back from Auckland with an overall 59 to 49 match point score.

WPA Regional Championship

The entry form for the first Regional Championship of the season is now available (not archived). The Regional Singles will be held at the Kapiti Pétanque club on 25 & 26 September.

For those players unable to play both days, there is the option of playing in the one day Consolante event on the Sunday.
