Pete Hamilton and Richard Turfrey won the Hawke's Bay Summer Doubles beating Jared Handford and Nico Toyne 13-9 in the final. This is Richard's maiden Open tournament win.

Attached is notice that the 2010 PNZ AGM will be held at 6pm on Saturday April 10th in Rotorua (in conjunction with the National Triples). The exact location will be advised shortly, along with the 2009 financial statements.
Please note that any remits for the meeting need to be submitted by 26th March 2010
Also attached is a Call for Nominations for Board Members:
There is a vacancy on the Board that will need to be filled (that of Vice President), and also, in accordance with the Constitution, two of the three Directors will retire (but be eligible for re-election). The retiring Directors are Diane Findlay (Membership Services) and Dirk Winnie (Director Sport Development). Dirk has indicated that he will not be standing for re-election; Diane will be standing for re-election.
Nominations for these positions need to be with the Secretary by 26th February 2010, so if you know of anyone willing and able to serve on the Board please get their nominations in.

I have just been notified by Horowhenua that they have withdrawn from the rest of the interclub rounds for 2010.
They were drawn for the bye in the morning round and Otaki in the afternoon. Otaki win by default.

Fifteen teams took part in the eighth Upper Hutt Swiss Doubles. Elizabeth Rocks/Michael Rocks were unbeaten in winning the event. A point further back were Doug Hay/Helene Hay and Colleen Horton/Kathy Taylor.
