Previous Minutes

The minutes of the last meeting held on 15 September 2016 were taken as read. Acceptance proposed by Val, seconded by David. Carried

Matters Arising

Noeline wanted a Club Kit for WPA Tournaments not PNZ Tournaments. Claire reported that PNZ were hoping to get a Kit out for all clubs before the end of the year.




Treasurer's Report

Michael spoke to the Financial Statement that was previously distributed.

Acceptance moved by Kevin, seconded by Doc. Carried.

Tournament Sub-Committee Report

There were many women in the PNZ Representative Open trials in Christchurch last week but only 2 men.

Claire asked that the C of C Triples Entry Form be put on the website.

Claire report that she will retire from the Tournament Committee at the AGM and asked that somebody else takeover.

A review should be made regarding the shooting competition and Kapiti suggested that they run a shooting competition in conjunction with the open doubles in January.

General Business

There was a great deal of discussion about how the JC competition was to be held as at the moment there are a few defaults due to dates not suiting clubs.

Article 6 to now read the match to take place within 42 days of the conclusion of the previous match except for the months of December and January, but also midweek days could also be encouraged. This to take effect from the next draw.

Kevin moved the changes seconded by Claire. Carried.


It was agreed that interclub be continued.

Claire to formulate some options for the competition format.

Timed Games

Carleen brought up the issue of timed games for Champion of Champions and Interclub as she felt some games were taking too long. Claire to look at this.

WPA Senior Doubles

Entry form is to be changed to read eligibility of players must be 60 one day before the tournament starts.

Club contacts

Claire asked clubs to notify changes of secretaries to the Tournament Committee. Michael pointed out that (club name)@petanque.org.nz would reach all clubs.
