Note on Nominations for Elected Officers

Written nominations were received from various individuals for the positions of President, Secretary and Treasurer.

However, 8.2 of the WPA Constitution states:

Any candidate for the position of President, Secretary and Treasurer shall be nominated in writing by Member Clubs at least 21 Days prior to the AGM and if no nominations are received they may be accepted from the floor.

As none of the nominations received came from Clubs, they are all invalid. This point will need to be made clear to Clubs when nominations are called for in future years.

Nominations in 2009 will need to be called from the floor.
